Four decades ago, Cancún was a deserted
island and few even knew of its existence. Today, with more than 22
million visitors each year, Cancun is Mexico’s most dynamic city, having
become the country’s largest tourism resort and the most prosperous city
in the Yucatán Peninsula. It is also the Caribbean’s premier
destination, surpassing even the Bahamas and Puerto Rico.

WSTDA has selected Cancun for its 2019 Annual Meeting location, and the
Marriott Cancun Resort, specifically, to provide attendees with a unique
Mexican oceanfront experience, exceptional Marriott service, and plenty
of opportunities for dining, shopping, spa services, and recreation
without having to travel elsewhere. The Marriott Cancun Resort and
adjacent JW Marriott, at which resort guests have privileges, provide
all you need for a productive and relaxing visit to sunny Cancun.
WSTDA Members are eligible for significantly discounted hotel room rates
in the WSTDA room block. These discounted rates are available starting

to relax in this beautiful resort! WSTDA Guest room rates are $149/night

Given the importance of expert witnesses
in products liability cases, it may be informative for WSTDA members to
know something about the legal rules governing qualifying someone as an
expert, whether the expert will be allowed to testify in court, and what
sorts of things expert witnesses testify about (including experts for
the plaintiffs, as well as the manufacturers or other defendants).
