Load Securement Technical CommitteeBy Karl Keisewitt, Chair Because of the excellent work prior to our last meeting in Seattle, Washington by Lorin Stolin and Charles Bradshaw, we have almost finished our work on our new standard for load binders. Hopefully we can finalize our work with that standard and send it to the board for final approval. A big challenge will be to continue our work on WSTDA-T5, the new standard for Interior Van Securement products. It is a challenge because the variety of products is enormous and sometimes testing procedures have to be defined as well. We also have to discuss one major question: are rubber tarp straps and elastic type stretch cords of various types and designs load securing devices and / or can they be used for securing loads? Iīm looking forward to seeing you all in Maui, Hawaii. Safe travels! |
