Testing Committee Report

The Testing Committee is presently working on several projects:

  • Zero Defects on tiedown webbing for the Load Securement Committee (Testing protocol and cost for the board of directors)

  • Web sling corner radii tests for the Web Sling Committee (Testing protocol and cost for the board of directors)

  • Rewriting and combining A-4108,with ASTM 6770, Abrasion Resistance Of Textile Webbing (Hex Bar Method) and ASTM 6775, Test Method for Breaking Strength and Elongation of Textile, Tape and Braided Material. To give WSTDA a new standard for testing all types of webbing available today.

The Testing Committee will be having a pre-meeting on October 20, in Seattle to work on the rewriting of A-4108.
