John Walsh, of Sling-Choker
Mfg. Ltd., was elected WSTDA president. Walsh’s term as
president comes on the heels of a successful annual meeting
in San Francisco, California. Interest in membership in
WSTDA has surged since last year, with 92 total member
companies.
Supporting Walsh is a strong
cabinet of officers including Immediate Past
President, Becky Thiessen, DLD Truck Straps; Vice President,
Michael Gelskey, Lift-It Mfg. Ltd.; and Secretary/Treasurer,
Robert Jasany, SpanSet Inc.
Ken Webb, Pacific Cargo
Control, Inc.; Tom Wynn, Peerless Chain Company; Mike
Lindler, Kordsa International; Jim Calico, Kinedyne
Corporation; Greg Pilgrim, Murdock Webbing; and Steve
Schroeder, Wear-Flex Inc. are also serving on the 2006-2007
board.

Powerpoint Presentation Promotes WSTDA
WSTDA’s marketing and outreach
efforts will be made easier now, thanks to the development
of a new Powerpoint presentation. The presentation provides
an overview of the Association, its products and services,
and the important work done by its members.
The association’s leadership
recognized the value in having something available to show
to industry partners and other interested parties. WSTDA
members are welcome and encouraged to download the
presentation from our website to demonstrate for customers
and employees to explain the value provided through WSTDA.
Many thanks for the input and
contributions made by many WSTDA members over the past few
months to create this presentation. Send your suggestions
and feedback to
Fred Stringfellow.
