Tie Down Technical Committee Report

Greetings,

I am happy to report that the Tie Down Technical Committee is near completion on what I consider our most important, influential, and valuable document. The T-1 Standard, now in its eighth draft (7a) needs only a bit of “tweaking” which should be completed at the Fall meeting in Washington. After the necessary channels of approval the Standard will be in print. Much of the credit should be directed to our President, Becky Thiessen, who has taken on a great portion of this endeavor as well as Vice-Chair, Ralph Abato.

Our next course of action will be to review other existing standards as well as discussing proposed testing of tie downs and components that we may recommend to the Testing Committee.
